CSR Policy

Our Principle

Kuwait Energy passionately believes that good, effective Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) should be placed at the heart of every organization. We perceive the concept of CSR as an obligation rather than just philanthropy or risk management.

Kuwait Energy voluntarily chooses to implement international CSR Management System standards. Wherever possible, we aim to synergize all of our projects with existing international initiatives such as the ten principles of the UN Global Compact and the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) to maximize the impact.

Kuwait Energy wishes to make an effective and sustainable positive difference in the lives of world citizens, with a particular focus on the underprivileged indigenous communities in countries of operations. Project sustainability is an essential element of our strategy and our vision to promote the following issues:

  • Economic Stability
  • Human Rights; particularly in terms of health care access, education and aid
  • Youth Empowerment
  • Gender Equality
  • Democratic and Freedom Values
  • Countering corruption
  • Environmental sustainability
  • Cultural and regional links

The Company is continuously involved in a variety of initiatives in three main forms; selective sponsorships, aid donations and long term partnerships.

Furthermore, Kuwait Energy organizes an annual Internship Programme for students at various levels. We take pride that we employ and train a large number of local people and currently 82% of employees throughout our offices are local to the country of operation.
